Artists in Partnership, Inc, the Long Beach Public Library, and film producer Patricia Shih are pleased to announce the viewing of Ms. Shih’s documentary highlighting the story of Long Island cardiac surgeon Harold Fernandez who began life in the United States as an undocumented teen from Colombia. The film will be followed by an in-person panel discussion with Dr. Fernandez and Ms. Shih, as well as virtually, via Zoom, two brothers who were ambushed, detained and then deported to El Salvador.  Our hope is that this film and discussion will shed light on the value of our immigrant neighbors and the crisis faced by many of them today.  The panel will be followed by a book and DVD sale and signing and a meet-and-greet.
